In 1997, Alphonse Musonera created the first Constellation
group in Rwanda. Today a group of kids from Gasovu is currently in activity.
It’s called AMAHORO IWACU, which means “Peace at Home”. A group of young
artists called UMUHUZA (Nobles of Heart) are helping the kids.
Despite all the
difficulties, such as changes in the group leaders, or moving of Alphonse and
Rulinda Deo, the kids have made real progress. Life in Rwanda isn’t very easy.
In Bois Le Rois (France), Manuèle with her group called “Culture – Kids beyond
frontiers” are complementing Rwanda’s paintings with poems, letters, tales,
and music. The group “Culture – Kids beyond Frontiers” has offered to Gasovu’s
kids a tape recorder. Thanks to this present they’ve exchanged music and
Gasovu’s kids have heard their voices.
