Within the association " Hublo-Nepal" he founded earlierAlain Laville has created an Accomodation Centre for isolated children called "CHESS".
This center provides underprivileged children with accomodation, healthcare and primary school education and offers them recreational,
play and cultural activities such as "Constellation" painting workshops ; all this is all the more important for them as, in a country like Nepal, these children grow up far too quickly, being thus refused the time to play and experience a carefree childhood. The group is named "Surya", a nepales word meaning "hope".

Rice paddys :
Rice is the main food in Nepal.
Irrigation is necessary to grow rice. So to keep the water, cultivators have to build small walls at each extremity of their fields. A small door in the wall enables, when necessary, to let the water flow from one rice paddy to the next one.

In Nepal, in the villages, we commonly heat he house and cook thanks to the fireplace usually lighted on the ground in the main room of the house. It can cause serious health problems due to the lack of ways to evacuate the fumes.
Besides, too much trees cutting can reduce forest and damage the ecosytems.
In the mountainous regions, where there are no forests, people use dried yaks excrements to heat the house.

Gurung Community :
In the Nepalese hills, people live mostly from agriculture. Banana trees can be found there. The Gurung community lives in these hills.

Sowing Rice :
During monsoon, when the hills are very green and the sky is full of heavy clouds, peasants work in the fields. The rainy season is mostly dedicated to sowing rice. The national dish is called “daal bhaat”, and is made of rice and lentils, assorted with vegetables.
