The work
of children : a real danger
Rosita was a
child with beautiful nice eyes.
She was
11 and she was used to selling sweets every day.
| |
But at break
time,
when she was at
school,
all the children
went playing ,while she stayed inside the school-room
-
Rosita,what’s
happening?
-
I’m tired sir,
I feel like sleeping.
I must get up very early every morning to get ready to sell my sweets.
| |
| |
| |
| |
When
leaving school, she used to go and sell her sweets.
-
Candies!!
Come and buy my candies!!
-
Hey,girl!
Come here!!
| |
-
What
do you sell
?
-
I sell
sweets,
sir.
-
Well,
I'm
going to buy you some,
but you
will have to come and see me every evening.
| |
| |
| |
| |
Rosita was
very happy and every day she used to go to Mr Abelardo’s shop to see
him.
-
Good ,Rosita.
I can trust you,
Go on and come and see me regularly.
-
Here
you are!
| |
From then on,
everything changed .Rosita was very happy; she used
to go and play with the other children at
breaks and her look had changed.
-
Let’s
go and play!!
-
All
together!
-
All
right !
| |
| |
| |
| |
The
teacher noticed a very important change in Rosita’s behaviour and
said:
-
Rosita,
how happy you look!!
- Yes,
sir!
It’s because I sell all my sweets now. The shopkeeper over there
buys
me all my sweets every day and he is very nice with me. |
The
school-teacher reflected over what Rosita had told him.
-
The
shopkeeper…
-
How
strange !!
| |
The day of
the prizes distribution was coming and all her friends had dressed with
their most beautiful clothes and shoes.
-
What
shall I do ?
I need more money: never mind,
I am going to skip school today!!
| |
| |
| |
| |
As she was
selling her sweets in the street, she met Mr Abelardo.
-
Rosita! what’s happening? You look so sad today!
-
The
problem is that today is the day of the prizes distribution and
I don’t have any nice clothes and any nice shoes to wear.
| |
-
Rosita,
I can buy you a
dress and shoes.
| |
| |
| |
| |
As they
were speaking, it started raining
-
Oh,
it’s raining….
-
Rosita,
let’s go to my shop and let’s have lunch together.
| |
-
But,
what am I going to do with my sweets?
- Don’t
worry,
I will buy you all your sweets
| |
| |
| |
| |
Seeing how
naïve Rosita was, Mr Abelardo asked her:
-
Rosita,
come and see me home tonight at 10, and I will offer you a nice present.
-
O K !!
| |
At
school ,when speaking with her,
the
schoolmaster said:
-
How are you,
Rosita?
- Very
well sir!! The shopkeeper is going to offer me a nice dress and new
shoes for the prizes distribution..
-
Did
you ask him why he wanted you to go and see him so late at night?
| |
| |
| |
| |
Rosita started
reflecting and thought about all the things that had happened:
finally
she decided not to go and see Mr Alelardo.
-
I will not go there! I might get into trouble.
| |
The following
day…..
The schoolmaster
went to Mr Abelardo’s shop to speak to him but the shop was closed and
he never heard about him again.
For sale- closed
